Revlon Matte & Lacquer Balms Review

I know every blogger and their dog has already reviewed the new Revlon lip balms, but I wanted to share my love for them with you too! You see, I've become just a little bit obsessed. You may have seen in my latest beauty haul post that I picked up a trio of these on my payday shopping trip. I loved them so much that I decided to go back to Boots the following weekend and pick up three more - and I could well end up with even more by the end of the month!

New Look Wishlist

I haven't been on a big New Look shop for a long time, which is not like me at all - usually you can't keep me away from the place. But I'm trying to be kind to by bank balance and spend a little less at the moment. That doesn't stop me from looking though, and I found these beauties whilst browsing online.

 

Beauty Haul - Boots & Superdrug

Soooo this happened...again! As soon as payday hit, I was straight off into town to spend some hard-earned cash. Taking part in the #bbloggers twitter chats a lot throughout January meant that my wishlist grew a lot this month - this is just a small selection!

January Beauty Favourites

So January came and went pretty quickly. It's been my first full month of blogging and I'm absolutely loving it so far. Picking my monthly favourites for January was a lot easier than I thought it would be - I've tended to stick with products I know I love this month but I intend to be a lot more experimental with products in February. After payday I went on a huge shopping trip and picked up a lot of new beauty bits, which you will be able to see in a haul post in the next few days, so hopefully I'll have a few new favourites for next month.

Life in January

January was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I did enjoy some great days out with friends and family, including celebrating my Dad's birthday last weekend, but there have also been some bad times. Work life has not been that great for me this month and a member of our family was taken ill a few weeks ago, which worried us all. Fortunately, she is showing signs of improvement every day and we are hopeful she will be able to go back home this week. I don't want to dwell too much on the negative anyway, so here are my highlights from the month.
