What's In My Muji Storage - Autumn Edition
You may remember a couple of months ago, when I first picked up my Muji drawers, that I showed you what was going to be in there for my summer everyday makeup stash. Well, the days are starting to get colder, so I thought it was about time I had a rummage around in my collection and switch up the contents of my Muji drawers, so that it was more autumn/winter appropriate.
Once again, I've gone with basics in the top, and colour products in the bottom drawer. My two foundations of choice at the moment are my all time favourite, NARS Sheer Glow, and a newbie to my collection, Revlon Colorstay. I've got a few special occasions coming up, which is what I usually save my Sheer Glow for, so it will be good to have it on hand. I'm yet to try the Revlon Colorstay foundation, it was one I bought a couple of weeks ago after a few recommendations, so watch this space for a review once it's been given a thorough testing. I won't go on about the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and Urban Decay Primer Potion, as they have all remained from my previous Muji storage post, which you can read here. The only other new face product to be added this time is the Sleek Face Form Palette. I don't tend to bother too much with contouring in the autumn/winter so I thought it was better to have one product that does everything rather than filling my drawers full of products I will barely use.
I've switched up my mascaras this time, and I'm using my favourite drugstore mascara, Max Factor False Lash Effect, and also trying out a new one to me, the Barry M Showgirl Mascara. This was a freebie when I spent a certain amount on Barry M products (more nail polishes if you were wondering!), so I haven't read a great deal into it before picking it up, so it will be interesting to see how this one fares. For eyeliner, I've chosen my Charlotte Tilbury Rock N' Kohl in Barbarella Brown to smoke out an eye look, and the Soap & Glory Supercat liner for if a fancy rocking the winged eye look. This is another new product to me, so you can also expect a few coming up for this too. I like my brows to be a little bolder in the winter, so I've included the Benefit Gimme Brow this time too. It's a great all-in-one product that fills your brows in, whilst shaping and setting them in place too. The final product in my top draw as an Urban Decay 24/7 Lip Liner in O-Zone. I'm going to be wearing a lot more deep & bolder colours in the autumn/winter so lip liner will have to be a must for those shades. Rather than fill my stash with various liners to suit each lipstick, I prefer to have a transparent one, which can be used with any colout.
Now onto the fun drawer - the colourful one! For cheeks, as well as the blush shade that comes in the Face Form Palette, I've also chosen the Natural Collection Blush in Dusky Pink and my Clinique Blush in Iced Lotus. Both were firm favourites during last autumn & winter, so they've gone straight back in to be loved again this year. I'll also be experimenting with my new Benefit Blush tin, which you can read about here.
For eyes I had to include my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette. I did a whole rave post here about how it was the perfect palette for autumn, which I'd recommend taking a look at if you haven't already. I've also chucked in my MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study which acts as a great base for any eyeshadow, and also looks good on it's own with a winged eyeliner. I've also included a couple of single powder shadows in Makeup Revolution's Cappuccino and Avon's Satin Taupe...yes I said Satin Taupe! I'm giving this one a little test before I do a comparison post with it's famous MAC counterpart.
Last but certainly not least are the lip products. I'll be doing an autumn lips post in the next couple of weeks which will include swatches of all of these shades, in case you were wondering what they look like from inside the packaging. I've thrown in a few classic plum/berry lips which are always popular at this time of year - MAC's Plumful, Revlon's Matte Balm in Sultry and Rimmel's Kate Moss 107 - probably the most popular drugstore autumn lipstick in the blogosphere! For days when I fancy toning things down with something a little more neutral, I have MAC's Kinda Sexy, and I've also included a bold red for glam nights out, from Sleek's Matte Me in Rioja Red.
Have you tried any of these products? What's in your current everyday makeup stash?

Love my Muji, though I'm starting to grow out of it even though it only holds lip products really. I should have gotten the five drawer. :-) You've got some great picks there. Last time I went to the store to pick up MAC's Kinda Sexy it was sold out. :(

Aw no, I think it's becoming a popular shade at the moment :( xx
DeleteThis is such an awesome post. I've never tried Muji storage, I much prefer the look of wood to acrylic, but I really like that you have a little unit where you can switch products up! You've chosen some great autumn/winter picks too! :)

DeleteWhat do you think of the Nars foundation? I've been wanting to try it. Love how much space your Muji draws have though, mine are super thin x

Thank you hun :) xx
DeleteThis is so beautiful and neat! I hate when these things are all messy and yours is just perfect! I may be overly excited about this, but I still live with my parents, which means I have to keep everything in my tiny room, so I don't have the space to keep everything that organised and nice. Can you feel the envy coming from this comment? haha
