Stila Convertible Color in Magnolia

Way back at the start of the year, you may remember me getting my hands on the Stila Glow & Behold gift set whilst shopping in the sales. The product I was most excited about trying from the set was the Convertible Color in the shade Magnolia. I'd heard so much about the Convertible Colors and it seemed that a lot of people loved them, so I was really happy to finally be able to put them to the test myself.

The Convertible Colors are designed for use on both lips and cheeks. Having tried this on my lips, I wouldn't recommend them for that use, unless you're looking for a really sheer lip colour. However, as a blush they are pretty amazing,

The formula is really creamy so it's easy to blend out. I tend to apply it using my fingers, though I have found that my Real Techniques Stippling Brush works quite well too. Unlike most cream blushes that I own, which tend to go from a cream to powder finish, this product leaves a really nice, slightly dewy look to the cheeks, which looks gorgeous when the sun hits it.

The shade Magnolia is not one that I'd usually go for, but I really like it. It's a soft brown with slight pink undertones to it, which has looked really nice on my cheeks during the winter. It looks quite scary in the pan but goes on the cheeks a lot sheerer, I've built up the colour slightly in the swatch above, but you achieve a much more subtle look than that with a thin layer on the cheeks.

I'm so glad I got to try the Convertible Colors at last, and am now on the hunt for some more, especially more spring/summer appropriate colours as we head into that time of year, so any shade recommendations would be appreciated!

Have you tried the Stila Convertible Colors? What's your favourite cream blush?
