Five Minute Makeup

Quite often, usually Monday to Friday, I really can't be bothered with doing the full works makeup - I'd rather spend the extra time in bed! I like to keep my routine for workday mornings as simple as possible, which means using as few products as I possibly can, and using ones that require minimal effort to apply. So here are my top fuss free products for those lazy mornings.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream This has a really lightweight, thin consistency so it doesn't take long to work into the skin at all. I find it blends really nicely with my Zoeva Silk Finish brush, or works just as well with fingers if you really are in a hurry or don't have a brush to hand. It also makes your skin look more radiant, which is great if you're in desperate need of some more sleep.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer There's not much to say about this product really, every blogger and their dog has heard about this product. It is really long wearing and blends out really quickly to give great coverage to your blemishes without looking cakey.

Clinique Chubby Stick For Eyes in Lots O' Latte Eyeshadow crayons are great for when you're in a hurry as you can just sweep the crayon across your eyelid, do a little bit of blending with your finger and you're good to go. Lots O' Latte is my current favourite, but if Clinique is slightly out of your budget then Collection and Bourjois do some great drugstore alternatives.

Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara Yes I'm going on about this mascara again, but the brush makes it really easy to apply and looks good with just one coat on. Plus the waterproof formula means you won't have to worry about it staying put all day.

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Peach Melba This blush is perfect for when you're in a rush. It's a very natural looking colour and quite sheer, so you don't have to worry about going in too heavy handed, you can just swirl your brush in, pop it on your cheeks and go without the risk of looking like a clown!

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake These lip butters are quite sheer so you don't have to worry about precise application too much like you would with a bold lipstick. Strawberry Shortcake is a great shade for an everyday pop of colour on the lips. Whilst they won't last as long as some other lip products, they're a doddle to reapply and could probably be done without a mirror.

What are your makeup essentials for a quick morning routine?

  1. That cc cream looks perfect, I may have to try it out soon! This look is perfect for me as I won't have the time to do my makeup in the mornings before college.
