Slimming World Take Two

Those have you that have been following Kizzy Hearts for a long time may have read my weight loss journey post, where I explained how I'd managed to lose almost four and a half stone in the lead up to my wedding. Since my health problems started last year, I really let myself go in the healthy eating and exercise department, and as a result ended up well over half way back to my start weight. I tried going it alone at home but it just wasn't the same without the motivation of other people knowing how you were doing, and being accountable to someone other than yourself. With my sisters wedding looming this summer, on 30th April I set foot back inside a Slimming World class to give myself the kick up the backside I needed.

I decided to have a complete Slimming World overhaul and join a new class. Beforehand I was going to a class closer to home, which meant by the time I'd made it through all of the rush hour traffic after work, I'd just missed the earlier session and would have to wait for the later class. Waiting around would make me hungry, and encourage those thoughts to creep in persuading me not to go that week. Now I'm attending a group which is near to where I work, so I'm easily able to get to the earlier session, and with all the traffic cleared by the time I leave, I'm able to get home before my old group would've even started!

My new consultant, Nikki, is fabulous and so inspiring (she even has her own blog which you can check out here), and the group is so warm and welcoming - plus huge in numbers, there must be hundreds of people in the three sessions that Nikki runs!

I had reached my previous target before I started this blog, so I couldn't share any of my progress with you guys, which I thought I would do this time around, So, if you're interested, Sundays will now be called Slimming World Sundays on Kizzy Hearts, and each week I'll be posting recipes I've been loving or tips I've learned, plus a monthly update on how my weight loss is going.

So far I've lost 10 1/2 pounds and am feeling much less sluggish for it. I've also discovered a love for quark which I never knew I had! If you follow me on Instagram (link in sidebar) you'll be able to see much more food pics throughout the week before your regular Sunday dose.

Will you be following my Slimming World Sundays? Are you on a weight loss journey of your own & have any tips you could share?
