May Beauty Favourites

We've seen a hint of summer in the UK during May. A couple of weeks ago we had a gorgeous weekend of weather, which really got me in the mood for using more summery products.

As well as enjoying the nicer weather, I've also been preparing for my wedding and honeymoon (which I will be on as you are reading this!). One product I have been enjoying using is the Dove Summer Glow gradual tan. It has been my go to summer body product for a good few years now, and I thought it was the perfect time to grab another bottle for this year, to give myself a bit of colour on my wedding day, and so that I don't look quite so washed out when I step out in a bikini on the first day of my honeymoon! Having such pale skin, I'm not a fan of most fake tan products, as it can look a bit too much for me, but this product gives just a subtle hint of colour to perk up my skin a bit.

I got the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette as a Christmas present last year and, whilst I loved it at the time, I soon went back to the original Naked palette as it gave me more wearable everyday options. However, this month I've been reaching more for the rose tones that the Naked 3 offers. I've especially enjoyed using Burnout all over the lid with Nooner in the crease.

You may have seen I made a few little Topshop makeup purchases in May, including their lipsticks in Brighton Rock and Ohh La La, and I've become obsessed with the pair of them since. They're both bright, vibrant colours, perfect for the summer time. The formula of Topshop lipsticks is very smooth and creamy, very similar to MACs cremesheen lipsticks, so it's great for dry lip sufferers like me. I couldn't decide between the two shades, as I've loved them equally this month, so both of them have made it into my favourites!

Another product I've loved since the moment I bought it (well, my husband bought it) is MACs MSF in Stereo Rose. As I mentioned in my review, I wore this at my hen party in April, and it's been the cheek product I've reached for on nights out ever since. It leaves a hint of coral of the cheeks, with a slight shimmer too, so no need for an extra highlighting product.

Marc Jacobs Daisy is my all time favourite fragrance. It's more of a spring/summer scent, but I like wearing it all year round! I have various different versions and the one I have been loving recently is the Daisy Sunshine edition. It's a bolder fragrance than the original Daisy perfume and smells slightly fruity. It's really perked me up and got me in the mood for summer whilst I have been wearing it.

What beauty products have you been loving in May?
