My New Fitness Routine

image from weheartit.com
If you follow me on Instagram you may know that, after much deliberation, I bought a Fitbit at the weekend. This has now spurred me on to create a whole new fitness programme for myself so I can keep a track of my progress, after all I want to get my monies worth!

I plan to do at least something every day, but I'm going to keep Sunday as a sort of "rest day", where I'll just monitor the number of steps I've done, but won't be doing any specific workout.

So, the plan is that Monday to Saturday I'll alternate between running on the treadmill and doing a workout DVD. I've downloaded the Change 4 Life Couch to 5k app as I really want to improve on my running (right now I'm terrible!) and thought this would be a great place to start.

So that I don't get bored of running every day, I thought I'd throw in a workout DVD every other day to mix things up. There won't be a specific one I go for on each day, I'll just try whatever takes my fancy - I've got a pretty extensive collection to choose from, some I'm ashamed to say are unused (see my favourites here).

To focus more on toning, I'll still be following the monthly challenges on blogilates.com every evening - right now it's the 30 Day Butt Lift Challenge which I'm loving.

I'm off work tomorrow so I'll be setting my Fitbit up and I'll be ready to begin my new fitness challenge - I can't wait!

What's your current fitness routine? Do you have any suggestions of what I could fit into mine?

  1. I really want a Fitbit but I am not sure that they are worth the money so I will be looking forward to hearing how you get on with yours. Good luck :)

  2. Sounds like a good fitness routine you've got there! I've been trying to start running and doing the Blogilates challenges recently but unfortunately it's not gone very well... My will power sucks! It'd be really interesting to read some more posts about how you're getting on with the routine and whether it's working etc.

Also, I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award! This is the link to my post about it which explains what you have to do etc, it'd be fab to read your post about it.
