February Beauty Favourites

Last month I was moaning that time seemed to be dragging on so much, but February seems to have flown by! Yes, I know, it's the shortest month of the year, but it really doesn't feel like four weeks since my last post. Considering it's gone by so quickly, I've still managed to pack quite a few favourites into that time.

I received the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette for Christmas but as far as I can remember this is the first time I'm actually mentioning it since trying it. All of the shades are gorgeous, I particularly like the one on the left, and have so far just been using them to highlight my cheekbones, though I can see myself using them for an all over glow once the summer approaches.

As soon as the NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Palette was released in the UK, I was straight down to Space NK to get my hands on one, and I'm so glad as it's a really stunning palette. One shade in particular had to make it into my favourites though, as I've used it so much, and that's Himalia (second on top row). It's a really gorgeous bronzey shade, which are my favourites to wear, and looks so pretty when applied wet.

The Nuxe Reve de Miel featured in a favourites post back when I first bought it in the summer, but I was still a little skeptical about how it would perform when it was really put to the test. Well, it's been bloody freezing in the UK over the past few weeks and this has done so well at keeping my lips hydrated for longer, so I'd say this well and truely deserves the hype it gets. Plus, I love the smell!

I've bee really tired recently, and my eyes have been starting to give that away. I've had really dark circles under my eyes, but I've found that using the Super Facialist Vitamin C Brightening Eye Cream has helped to control the situation somewhat. Of course, it's not going to completely get rid of my dark circles, but it does a really good job at reducing the appearance of them, and making my eyes look a lot brighter, I feel like my concealer sits a lot better when I use this eye cream too.

I'm not really sure if a candle constitutes as a beauty favourite, but others have included them in the past so I'm going to too! I received a mini of the Aromatherapy Associates Relax Candle in my You Beauty Discovery advent calender and was so excited, as I've always wanted to try it but been put off my the price. Now I'm going to have to save up to buy a full size! It kicks off a really lovely relaxing scent that's not too strong, so it's perfect for burning before bedtime, and it actually does help me to relax - I've had a better nights sleep after burning this.

I've raved on about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks a lot on this blog. I love the easy application and the fact that they dry to a long lasting matte finish without drying my lips. The shade Nude-ist has been worn so many times this month, I cannot get enough of it. I'm not sure how nude this actually is, it's very pink toned, but I think that suits my complexion a lot more than a proper nude lipstick would.

I've not really painted my nails much at all this month, but when I did it was Essie's Watermelon that I reached for. It's been pretty miserable weather this month, so this vibrant pink has really brightened things up and get me looking forward to spring & summer. The formula of Essie polishes is always really easy to work with and long lasting - this one is opaque on my nails in one coat.

Benefit's Rockateur Blush is an old favourite that I've rediscovered again this month. It's a gorgeous rose toned blush with hints of gold shimmer running through, which gives the most beautiful sheen to the cheeks. I'm not too sure what Benefit were thinking with the packaging, it's hideous, but the product inside is stunning.

What have you been loving in February?
