Avon Ultra Colour Matte Lipsticks

Whenever I go round to my dad's house, I can't resist having a flick through the latest Avon brochure his partner would've picked up from work. From experience though, I've found their products to be a bit hit and miss, so I tend to just stick to the offers when trying out new things, so I haven't spent too much if I'm disappointed. When I spotted these matte lipsticks on offer at 2 for £10 in one of the recent brochures, I was very tempted to give them a go.



The shades I went for were Matte Fuchsia and Matte Peach - very original haha! I love the classic black packaging and the fact that the lid has a clear top, so you can stand them up in your makeup drawer and easily see which shade you want to wear.

The lipsticks have a very creamy formula, one I would liken to the Revlon Matte Balms, so they are really comfortable to wear and don't dry out the lips. The pigmentation is also really good and they have great lasting power, even staying put after a meal. Once they do eventually start to fade, they do so evenly, and leave a really nice stain to the lips, especially the fuchsia one.

I've had a lot of disappointment from Avon products recently, so I'm really glad I've found a product I really like. If you suffer from bad dry lips but love the finish of a matte lipstick, I'd really recommend giving these lipsticks a go, especially if you can spot them on offer like I did. I may treat myself to some more, Matte Ruby looks beautiful. They retail separately for £7.50, which is quite reasonable, but are currently reduced here to £5.10.
