Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paints

Whenever Barry M release a new range of nail polishes I'm all over them! They are by far my favourite drugstore brand for nail polishes. Their formulas are always really good, especially the Gelly Hi Shines, and they are such a bargain. Their new Speedy Quick Dry range has really got me in the mood for spring, with the gorgeous pastel shades on offer.

l-r: In A Heart Beat, Lap Of Honour, Eat My Dust, Road Rage
The application of these polishes is a doddle now that Barry M have introduced their new wide, flat brush. It's slightly curved at the end, so it fits the shape of the nail perfectly and makes for mess free application. Fingers crossed all Barry M polishes come with this style brush from now on!

The formula is so quick drying. I'd say each layer takes around 60 seconds to dry, so by the time you've painted all nails you can move straight onto the next coat. Three coats, which I've found you need with most of these colours to get an opaque finish, will be touch dry in five minutes. This makes them so ideal for quickly sprucing up your nails when you're in a hurry, or if you lack patience like me!

In terms of wear they're not the best, you'd probably get around three days out of them before chipping, but having a good top coat will see these out for a little longer - thank god for Seche Vite! If like me you don't wear your nail polish for more than a few days at a time, the longevity of these polishes won't be a huge issue.

Overall I'm pretty impressed. I love the shade range (there's nine in total), especially Road Rage, which is quite appropriate for me! If you're one of those people who likes to get their manicure done as quickly as possible, I'd definitely recommend giving these a go. For just £3.99 each they are great value, and Boots & Superdrug both currently have them of offer at 2 for £7. Lucky it wasn't 3 for 2 really, as that's all the justification I would've needed to get all nine!

Have you tried the Barry M Quick Dry range?

  1. oh these look so pretty next to each other! I love pastel nails. I have the pale blue and I really like it so I'm already tempted to get a few more from the range. It's the offers that get me too!

    1. I think all of the shades are really pretty, I really struggled to narrow down my choices. I think In A Heartbeat would look awesome with a tan in summer xx
