Fuss Free Makeup Menu
What I'd give for an extra 15 minutes in bed sometimes! If I can get that, and sacrifice part of my makeup routine, then damn it I will! Luckily, I've got a great number of products in makeup stash that take minimal effort to apply, I can just quickly swipe on & go in no time at all. In fact, I'm loving my sleep so much at the moment (symptom of pregnancy I'm guessing) that this has become my go to makeup look, particularly on weekdays when getting out of bed becomes that little bit harder!
For base I've been loving the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. This is a really lightweight base, so it's really quick and easy to work into the skin. In fact, I've found this works best applied with my fingers, so even less effort is involved right there! I've found a really cheap, fuss free cheek product at the drugstore that has become a firm favourite of mine. In fact, I think it's been in more than one favourites post in the past. The Collection Speedy Blush is so easy to apply and just leaves a subtle flush of colour on the cheeks, so not much blending out is required either. The shade selection isn't the best, but my favourite by far is Tickled Pink, a nice soft rose.
I think a lot of peoples favourite eye pencil product would probably be the Clinique Chubby Sticks. Many brands, both high street and high end, have now brought out dupes for these, but the original chubby will remain one of the best in my eyes. Just a couple of swipes, a little bit of blending with the finger (although, not essential) and you're good to go. I've got a few of these in my collection. Bountiful Beige is a great one for everyday wear, as it's just a subtle wash of neutral colour. One mascara I can always rely on when in a hurry is Maybelline The Rocket. This is another product that's featured heavily in my favourites in the past, and with good reason. It gives my lashes great volume and length, and is very much mess free which makes it a doddle to apply - you don't have to be too careful, if you know what I mean. I always pick up the waterproof version, which I've found holds a curl really well too.
I raved on and on about the Revlon Matte Balms when they were first released, and while the hype may have died down now, they are still a regular feature in my makeup routine. Because of the pencil format, they are really easy to apply to the shape of your lip, and also have a decent staying power without being the slightest bit drying on the lips. They are so easy to pop into your handbag for touch ups too. Again I have so many of these, almost the entire collection, but a great everyday option would be Elusive.
