Life Update - Meet Oliver

Well it's been a long old time since I've sat at my computer to write something for you goes...it feels kind of odd to be back but I've been itching to do this for a while, so I thought I'd just bite the bullet and do it. As you can probably tell, my life has change a lot since my last post, so here goes...

My February Photo Challenge

Since the Christmas holiday started, I tried to make more of a conscious effort to actually use my Instagram profile a lot more. My contribution to it during 2016 as a whole was pretty poor and I wanted to improve on that. Whilst it's definitely been getting a lot more use recently, there are still times when I skip posting for a few days. I remembered right at the start of last year, I took part in another photo challenge, and that really got me using my account more - I actually managed to complete it. So, this year, rather than finding another one to take part in, I thought I'd just make up my own!

This Was May

So I thought with my return to blogging I'd also bring back the monthly updates, but with a bit of a twist - let me know what you think to this new format! May was a pretty good month for me. The weather has warmed up a little after the miserable start to spring we had, and I've been making the most of the sunshine and being back in my hometown. I didn't really get up to many exciting things, but it's been an enjoyable month all the same.

Slimming World Sunday - Inspirational Instagram Accounts

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! As it's Valentine's Day, I thought I'd share the love a little, and show you some of my favourite Slimming World Instagram accounts to follow. I find Instagram a great motivational tool for my Slimming World journey, whether it be posting my own meals to keep me on track, or finding new meals on others posts. I spend many an evening scrolling through #slimmingworld looking for delicious new recipes to try. Here are just five of my favourite accounts that have kept me motivated over the last few months.

Life in October

Ok, so this post is a couple of days later than normal, and there hasn't been a great deal of activity on my blog over the last couple of weeks. I've been really ill recently (yes, again, hopefully I'll get some answers in the next week or so, so that I can start to get better), so I've not had the energy to sit and think about writing any blog posts. So I would firstly like to start with an apology for the lack of action on here, Twitter, Instagram - anywhere! I never thought it would get to the stage where I was too ill to blog for a whole two weeks, and I'm really gutted about it, as there was a lot I wanted to write about this month.

Life in September

September was a pretty enjoyable month for me - if a little tiring. October is going to be very busy though, so I've also been enjoying a bit of down time before things get a little hectic.

Life in August

Well August was a huge fail where Instagram was concerned. Usually I have a few photos to pick from for my monthly life update, but these were the only photos I uploaded last month! I'll try much harder this time I promise! I don't know why but August seemed to go pretty slowly, especially when I think about how fast the rest of the year had gone. But now X Factor is back on our TVs, it's time for the Xmas countdown to begin....

Life in July

July has been a bit of a mixed bag for me. It started off really well, with my birthday celebrations taking place on the first weekend of the month, but the end of the month has resulted in a few trips to the doctors, so it hasn't been the most pleasant couple of weeks.

Life in June

Life is good again! After a pretty crappy month during May, we finished off the month by getting married on Saturday 31st! It was the most incredible day and, considering the weather we had leading up to it, the sun was shining down on us. And married life since has been pretty damn good!

Life In May

So this week has been a pretty exciting week! As you read this, I will be a married woman! I married my partner of four years yesterday - I'm writing this in advance so I'm hoping it was a lovely day (I'm sure it will be!). At the start of the month I thought I was going to be writing about the happiest time of my life through May and, whilst getting married will be amazing, this month in it's entirety hasn't been a particularly great one for my family.

Life in April

Wedding plans have been in full swing during April. It's hard to believe that, after being engaged for almost three years, this time next month I'll be a married woman! We settled on a date pretty early on into our engagement and it seemed like the time was never going to come but, now that it's almost here, it's been a mad dash to get everything sorted and make sure everyone has been paid. There's still a few bits to do but the four day Easter weekend really helped us out this month.

Life in March

March has been such a busy month for me but has also been very enjoyable. If you saw a blog post I wrote at the start of the month, you'll know I've been trying to make a few changes this month, which has had varying success!

Life in February

During February I reached a very big (it was big to me anyway!) blogging milestone - 100 Bloglovin' followers! It was a complete and utter shock to me when it happened, as I wasn't expecting it so soon. I wanted to thank you all for taking the time to read my little, so I am currently running a MAC lipstick giveaway - if you haven't already entered you can do so here.

Life in January

January was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I did enjoy some great days out with friends and family, including celebrating my Dad's birthday last weekend, but there have also been some bad times. Work life has not been that great for me this month and a member of our family was taken ill a few weeks ago, which worried us all. Fortunately, she is showing signs of improvement every day and we are hopeful she will be able to go back home this week. I don't want to dwell too much on the negative anyway, so here are my highlights from the month.
