My Revlon Lip Butter Collection

I love Revlon Lip Butters. Perhaps a little too much. They glide on so smoothly, give a nice hint of colour and leave my lips feeling moisturised for hours - what's not to love?! As you can see, I've now built up a nice little collection for myself, so I thought I'd share with you the colours I have - so far!

l-r: Strawberry Shortcake, Peach Parfait, Juicy Papaya, Sorbet, Raspberry Pie, Berry Smoothie, Sugar Plum, Candy Apple
My pick of the bunch, and my first lip butter purchase, is most definitely Peach Parfait. If I showed you the inside of the packaging to this, you can see this has been very much loved. It shows just a hint of colour on the lips, which is perfect for those "no makeup" makeup days. Be warned though, it does have a slight hint of glitter to it. It's not too noticeable on the lips until the colour starts to fade away, but if you're not a fan of this I'd probably stay clear of this shade.

My go to shade during the autumn/winter months was Sugar Plum. Most days, if I wasn't wearing MAC Plumful, I was wearing this - I did go a bit plum mad during Autumn in particular! It's more of a pinky toned plum than Plumful is, and is a much more subtle colour on the lips. I tended to use this when I knew I was going to be outside a lot during the day and my lips were going to need a lot of moisture, but I still wanted that pop of my favourite winter colour on my lips.

One of my more recent purchases, and one I think I will be reaching for as we move into spring & summer, is Juicy Papaya, which is a lovely subtle orange shade. I steered clear of orange lip colours for so long, but I've taken brave steps recently and now have a few in my collection. This will be perfect for when I want to wear an orange lip but don't want it to be "in your face". It does take a little while with this one for any kind of decent colour to show up on your lips though.

My least favourite from the collection is probably Berry Smoothie, but it's not to say I don't like it. It's very similar in colour to Sugar Plum (this is more visible in the lip swatches below), so I don't think I really needed both of them in my collection. This one takes a lot more to get the colour to show on my lips than Sugar Plum does, which is why I tended to opt for that one instead. This is another one to avoid for any glitter haters out there.

The lip butter from my collection which I think deserves I lot more love than it gets is Sorbet. This was very much an impulse purchase when I picked it up last summer - I saw Revlon had released a new shade to the lip butter range and I had to have it! It looks very scarily bright pink in the packaging, something I never used to experiment with, so I tossed it in a drawer a forgot about it until I started switching up my makeup from winter to spring this year. It's nowhere near as scary as I thought when I put it on my lips. I wish a hadn't neglected it so much last year, but it will definitely be getting a lot of love this year!

Raspberry Pie, Berry Smoothie, Sugar Plum, Candy Apple
So that's my collection of Revlon Lip Butters, like I said so far! I still have my eye on a couple of others, top of that list being Crème Brulee. It might seem a bit excessive to have this many already and still want to buy more, but these are my most reached for lip products. They are perfect for if you suffer from dry lips regularly like I do, and they'll keep your lips moisturised for such a long time. You can purchase them from Boots or Superdrug for £7.99 each, but they are regularly on offer at 3 for 2 or at 2 for £10.

Have you tried the Revlon Lip Butters? What are your favourite shades?
