Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream Review

I'm a bit of a sucker for hyped up products, but the whole BB/CC cream craze had never really grabbed my attention until now. Bourjois' new CC cream release had been sat on my beauty wishlist for a while but, to me, it seemed like such a small amount of product for it's £9.99 price tag, I wasn't quite sure how long it would last me. After being assured that only the tiniest amount is needed on each application, I gave into temptation and decided to give CC creams a whirl. And I think I may have found my perfect summer base.

The Bourjois CC Cream comes in 4 shades - of course I went for the lightest shade, 31 Ivory, and it seems to be the perfect match for my skintone. The formula contains 3 colour correcting pigments; apricot for anti-fatigue, green for anti-redness and white for anti-dark spots. The consistency is quite runny, one I would compare more to a light-coverage foundation rather than a cream, but people's assurances were correct - you need no more than a pea-sized amount of this product to get a decent coverage, and it blends out really nicely.

My skin can often be very dull and this product gives it a slight illuminating effect to brighten up my complexion, without looking shiny. It feels very lightweight on the skin, almost as if it's not even there, which is perfect for warm summer days when I really don't want to be wearing a full-coverage foundation but still want something to perk up my skin. I would say the coverage this CC cream gives would be light-to-medium - it covers the majority of imperfections and gives an almost blurred effect to the skin, but if you have any major blemishes, you are going to have to go in with a concealer to completely hide those bad boys.

Another plus point for this cream is that it gives long lasting hydration to the skin (Bourjois are claiming 24 hour hydration but, let's face it, I'm not going to be wearing it long enough to test that one out!). It leaves my skin feeling nourished throughout the day, and doesn't cling to any dry patches. The formulation is also oil-free, which makes this cream ideal for oiler skin types too, and, as a added bonus, it contains SPF 15.

I wasn't too sure what I was going to think of this when I bought it, but I'm really impressed with the Bourjois CC Cream. It gives my skin a healthy, natural look and a good amount of coverage for days when I don't feel like wearing a full face of makeup. This product will definitely be making it's way into my holiday makeup bag.

Have you tried this product? What do you think of BB/CC creams?
