Updated MAC Lipstick Collection


Ok so it's been a little under a year since my last MAC lipstick collection post and I'm ashamed to say that in that time my collection has grown from 8 to 18! That's a lot of lipstick and a lot of money - I don't even want to think about what I could've bought with it! Given that my collection has expanded so much in the last 11 months, I thought it was about time I did an updated post for you. There's no lip swatches this time I'm afraid but hopefully you'll understand why - reapplying all of these would've been pretty painful!

If I was to pick a top 3 (although ask me again next week and I might give you a different answer!) I would probably go for Kinda Sexy, Kelly Yum Yum and Plumful. Kinda Sexy is a gorgeous matte, yet creamy, light brown nude with pink undertones to it so that it doesn't look too concealer-like. I've got quite a few nude colours from MAC, but since I bought Kinda Sexy I rarely reach for any of the others in comparison. I was absolutely desperate to get my hands on Kelly Yum Yum when the Osbournes collection came out last summer. In fact, I drove down to Milton Keynes (about an hour away from home) six hours after arriving home from my honeymoon with the intention of getting my hands on it before it sold out! It's very similar to Candy Yum Yum in that it's a really vibrant pink, but a lot less scary in my opinion! Plumful has been my go-to winter shade for a couple of years now and I absolutely adore it. It's a lustre finish so it goes on slightly sheer to begin with, but it's really buildable depending on how bold you want to go with it, which makes it ideal for day to night wear.

If I was to single out a least favourite, I'd have to go for Up The Amp. I think I've only worn this on a couple of occasions, and haven't picked it up in a very long time. It's a blue-toned purple which I really don't think suits my complexion very well. It only tends to look good if I've got a tan, which isn't very often these days!

      Hue is lovely, I'd definitely recommend getting it. I know, the brights are gorgeous - Kelly Yum Yum & Impassioned especially xx

    Woah, this is such a huge collection! My favourite has to be Pure Heroine, if you like purples, its a must have! :)
