Tanya Burr Lipglosses

I wasn't going to buy any Tanya Burr lipglosses. I'm not a great lipgloss lover and to me they seemed quite expensive for what they were. They had been so hyped up, with promises of a non sticky formula and great pigmentation, so I thought these may be a rare lipgloss love for me. I went to Superdrug to get my eyebrows threaded, but turned up too early, which proved to be a dangerous thing, as I found myself wandering to the tills with three Tanya Burr lipglosses in hand (3 for 2 so not so bad!).

First off I have to mention the scent. These lipglosses smell amazing - possibly even better than MAC lipsticks! They smell like sweets, I can't quite put my finger on which ones though.

The shades I got were Afternoon Tea, Picnic In The Park and Exotic Island. For me they were a little bit hit and miss. I don't know if it was just the shades I got, but it seemed that the darker you went, the better the formulation was. Afternoon Tea, the lightest of the bunch, was a little bit gloopy and tricky to apply evenly, compared to Exotic Island, the darkest, which glided on really nicely. Maybe I just got a dodgy one in Afternoon Tea, but it was quite sticky too compared to the other two shades.

I do have to agree though that the pigmentation of these lipglosses is really good, some of the best out there for this kind of product. In terms of wear, they are the same as most other lipglosses - you're going to get one or two hours wear out of them at most and you'll definitely need to top up after eating and drinking, but that's always the case with a lipgloss.

l-r: Afternoon Tea, Picnic In The Park, Exotic Island
Overall I think these are nice glosses, but they haven't wowed me enough to convert me. Whilst they do have lovely pigmentation,, they are certainly not the non-sticky formula that has been claimed, though it's really not as bad as many other glosses I've tried. I will continue to wear these, especially Exotic Island, I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy any more.

Have you tried any of Tanya Burr's lipglosses? What did you think?

    1. It's weird, I live in a city with 2 Superdrugs & I haven't seen them in either. I went to a smaller town nearby and they had them. They're pretty well hidden too! xx

  4. Gorgeous shades especially the last one. I think I'll try these as I don't mind the slight stickiness in glosses.
