This Month's Primark Purchases

I know it doesn't exactly look like it from this haul, but I've been a little uninspired by Primark recently. Bare in mind this is a whole month's worth of shopping, and normally I would purchase more than this in just one trip - and have to leave a few things I like behind through fear of overspending. That said, I did manage to pick a few bits I liked on a couple of trips this month, plus a few essentials.

My first purchase was from the sale as was just something to lounge about in at home with a pair of leggings. I picked up the Marvel comics jumper for £5, which my sister was a little bit gutted about as she'd paid full price only a few weeks ago! Next up I got yet another of Primark's amazing £5 dress - but this time I paid just £2 for it! Once again, this was in the sale, along with quite a few of their long sleeved £5 dresses, so they're worth taking a look at. You can't see too well from the picture, but it's got floral detailing dotted all around it. I saw this Eiffel Tower print t-shirt all on its own on another rail and thought the picture on it was so beautiful. It was in my size, and only £5, so I quickly inspected it for holes or marks (I've noticed a lot of people just dump things wherever once they realise there's a fault with something they've picked up, luckily this wasn't the case this time!) and in my basket it went.

I couldn't come out of Primark this summer without a kimono, could I?! I saw this Aztec print one, with the fringing at the bottom, on one of the mannequins and went on a hunt for it. It's obviously quite a popular choice, as finding it in my size proved to be very difficult! It's a much thicker material than other kimonos I have, so I thought it would be a good one for the evenings, when it gets a little chillier. I was a little shocked at the price though - £14 - still cheap, but not the Primark prices I'm used to! The floral shirt was a bit of a weird purchase for me, I don't usually go for things like this and I'm still not sure about it even now! The print is so pretty though, it was just calling to me in the shop. I'll probably wear it open with a white vest top underneath. Again, this was quite pricey for Primark at £12. The skirt was a very last minute purchase. I hadn't spotted it when we were wandering around the shop, but it caught my eye whilst we were going down the escalator, so I quickly ran & grabbed it! It's a gorgeous sheer floaty midi skirt, with a shorter skirt underneath to protect your modesty! The colour is what drew me to it - it's one of my favourites. They didn't have my sized but I plucked for the next size up and luckily it's not too bad a fit. Having already seen some of the prices of other items I'd picked up, I was quite shocked that this was only £10.

Usually I go mad in the jewellery and accessories section, but this month I was a little underwhelmed. I did, however, pick up this gorgeous statement floral necklace for £4 and a set of silver rings for £1.50. I'd seen a very similar necklace in the Topshop jewellery section for around the £20 mark - there's no way I can justify spending that much, so I was so happy when I found this alternative. Another thing I rarely leave Primark without is a pair of pumps. I wear them so often that they get worn down so easily, so I'd rather pick up a cheaper pair - that way I feel less guilty! These cream lace detailed pumps were just £5 and will look so cute with a pretty dress this summer. I don't really know why I felt the need to buy a pair of slippers in June but they were Minnie Mouse for crying out loud! It just had to be done - and they were only £4! Lastly a very boring but essential purchase - a pack of their handbag tights for £1.50. Tights are again something I don't really want to be spending too much money on, and these are so convenient to just chuck in your bag in case you have a ladder emergency.

What do you think to my latest purchases? What have you been buying from Primark recently?
