My Favourite Drugstore Foundations
For the longest time I wasn't really all that into foundation. I used to just buy one base and then stick to it. I feel like 2014 was the year for discovering foundations for me, and now I have quite a few favourites in my collection, so I thought I'd share with you my top three from the more affordable price scale.
Revlon Colorstay £12.49
This is one of my most recent foundation purchases, so it's become a favourite pretty fast, but this has been one of my most reached for foundations over the past couple of months. It has a medium, but buildable, coverage and is really long lasting on the skin. As this is meant to be a long wearing foundation, I was worried it might be a bit thick and cakey, but it feels really lightweight and comfortable on the skin.
Rimmel Match Perfection £6.99
I've been using this foundation for such a long time, I think this may be my third bottle. A few years ago, when my makeup collection wasn't quite what it is now, this was the foundation I reached for every single day, and it still gets a lot of use now. It gives a really light, natural look to the skin and applies really nicely, without clinging to dry patches. It's such a bargain too.
Bourjois Healthy Mix £9.99
This is the foundation to go for when your skin needs an extra bit of perking up. It gives such a healthy, natural glow to the face. This again is a dream to apply and leaves my skin feeling quite hydrated too. This foundation has been a bit of a lifesaver for me when I've been having really bad skin days. Another bonus - it smells incredible!
Have you tried any of these foundations? What's your favourite drugstore foundation?

DeleteThat Rimmel foundation is awesome. It's one of the few foundations that actually matches my skin tone.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, it's weird their lightest shade seems to be a lot lighter than their other foundations, like the Wake Me Up! xx

I've not tried the serum foundation but I've heard from a lot of people that it's really good, possibly even better than the normal foundation so I may give it a go once this one runs out. Just took a look at your blog & followed too - your photography is lovely xx
