Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette
Yep that's right, it's another Urban Decay palette! They've thrown so much at us recently and as you can tell it's been really hard to resist. I now have the entire Naked eyeshadow palette collection, which may be a little unnecessary, but they are all so stunning in their own way. I didn't think this palette would ever come to exist - they did the whole Naked Basics thing and I didn't really think there'd be anywhere to go with a second one, but I guess I was wrong!
Now I love my Naked Basics palette, but I have to say I think this one is a lot better. The shades are much more cool-toned, which I think suits my complexion a lot more. I also think the build-up in the darkness of the shades in the Naked Basics 2 is a lot better - in the original there were quite a few very light shades, which then jumped to dark shades with no real middle ground. There seems to be a lot more variety so more looks are achieveable.
As with all Urban Decay shadows, these are really buttery smooth, they apply and blend out so nicely. Pigmentation is also usually very good, but these are so amazing! I was really shocked at just how much pay off I got just from one swipe. My favourite shades in the palette are Skimp, which is a really gorgeous highlight shade, and Primal, which is a really good colour for in the crease.
I really love the packaging too. It's so sleek and slim, it's easy to pop into my makeup bag and take away with me - the mirror in the lid comes in handy for travel too. The rubbery texture feels soooo good too! The palette retails for £22, which I don't think is too bad, especially when you work out cost per shadow. Considering how much I'll use this palette, as it's very suited to everyday looks, I think it's really good value for money.
Have you tried the Naked Basics 2 palette?
