The Lip Product Addict Tag

I've not actually been tagged to do this but, since I saw Amelia & Estee's video, I've been wanting to give this a go. If you could see my makeup collection, you'd know that this was the perfect tag for me! Since I'm still a little nervous about entering the world of YouTube, I thought I'd do the tag on my blog instead.


1. Favourite balm/treatment?
I really love the Body Shop lip butters and always keep a pot of this in my handbag. My favourite is the Shea butter - it smells gorgeous and leaves my lips feeling lovely and soft.

2. Best eye-catching red?
I must admit, I'm not big on red lips but the lip product I've been reaching for again and again for a night out, since I bought it, is the Revlon Matte Balm in Striking. It's not a classic red, it has quite an orange tone to it, but that's the kind of shade I tend to go for when I'm on the lookout for a red lipstick. The matte balms last a good amount of time too, without drying out your lips.

3. Best luxury & best drugstore?
My favourite luxury lipstick has to be my first ever Chanel lipstick. I adore the packaging - there's just something so satisfying about clicking the bullet in & out of the case! The shade I picked was a coral - very appropriate for this time of year. I love the formula of the Chanel lipsticks and I'm definitely going to be picking up some more - I'm thinking of going for an everyday nude next time.
Revlon lip butters have been a bit of an obsession of mine, so I'd have to pick them as my favourite drugstore product. Not a traditional lipstick, but these are perfect for days when you need that little bit extra moisture, and with my dry lips this is often! You can see a post of my full collection here.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
It has to be Plumful. I did not stop wearing this during the autumn/winter. As the name would suggest, it's a gorgeous plum shade, that's subtle enough that you can wear it as an everyday lip colour. Love it!

5. Most disappointing?
Unfortunately this went to the Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick. I found this to be so drying, which I could forgive slightly if it had good staying power, but this didn't even last that long either, which was very disappointing for a product claiming to be "extra lasting". It's a shame, as I love Avon products.

6. Liner - yes or no?
Sometimes, haha! I very rarely use lip liner, but if I'm wearing a bold lip and need it to stay in place for a long time, then I reach for my Urban Decay lipliner in O-zone. It's one of those invisible liners, so you can wear it with any lipstick at all. As it's something I don't wear very often, I don't want to have to go out and buy one for every possible lipstick colour I might choose.

7. Best gloss?
I'm cheating a little here, as these aren't your typical gloss from a tube. But there are called gloss sticks, so that counts right?! I'm not the biggest lip gloss fan out there, I very rarely use it, so it was difficult for me to pick one, but I do like the Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker Gloss Sticks. They glide on nicely, leaving your lips with a nice subtle sheen, and they aren't sticky. My favourite shade is Nudist.

8. Something extra!
As I'm such a big nude lip fan, I thought I'd share with you my new favourite nude lip! The L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in Julieanne's Nude is the perfect nude colour for anyone with super pale skin like me. It's slightly pinky toned which I like, as I'm a lover of pink lippie too. The formula is lovely and moisturising. The only thing I dislike is that, although the packaging looks very luxurious, it's matte so it does get a little grubby.
