Max Factor CC Sticks

I've been intrigued by these CC sticks since they were released but, being unsure of how well they would perform and knowing I'd need to buy more than one for my skin concerns, I decided to sit back and wait for an offer to come up before making my purchase.

When I spotted Max Factor products on BOGOF a couple of months ago, I opted to purchase the yellow stick, for under eye circles, and the green stick for redness. I knew both of these would become a bit of a necessity for me, having suffered from redness around my nose and cheeks for a very long time, and also having extremely dark under eye circles since becoming ill this summer.

The product is extemely soft and creamy, but also quite thick in formula so they do take a bit of effort to completely blend out - not a product to be using if you're applying makeup in a hurry. Once it is completely blended, I can see a marked improvement in the appearance of my skin. After applying my foundation over the top, the finish appears to be much more flawless and even - I've found the green stick to be particularly useful when I've been using a lighter coverage foundation, which doesn't quite mask as much redness as I'd like. The yellow stick has been an absolute dream for covering up my dark eyes. Before I was slapping on a tonne of concealer and they would still be quite visible, Now I can hardly notice them, and am just using the tiniest bit of concealer to touch up. I've found the effects to be much longer lasting than just using foundation and concealer alone too.

I'm really impressed with these CC sticks, they do a fabulous job at covering up any problem areas you may have on your face. I also love the fact that they come in a stick form, so you can be much more precise in your application and target specific areas easily. As well as the green & yellow sticks, the range also compromises of a pink stick for dark spots, a lilac stick for dullness, and a highlighter to illuminate and contour the face (I have my eye on this one too!). The only downside for me is the price. At £9.99 each, they are a little pricey, especially if, like me, you're going to need more than one, so I'd definitely recommend looking out for any special offers so that you don't have to pay the full price.

Have you tried the Max Factor CC Sticks? What did you think to them?

  4. I purchased the yellow stick two weeks ago & im undecided, I don't like the feel of the stick under my eye so I may use a brush, I wish they had brought these out in a cream / liquid instead but hopefully I will fall in love with it xx
