...Ding Dong the bells are gonna chime! Ok, so it will actually be the afternoon by the time I get married, but you get the idea!

What's In My Hand Luggage

Apologies for the stupidly late post and the dodgy pictures. I've been so busy with wedding prep today but I still wanted to get this post up, so it's a little later than planned! You may remember from a haul post last month, that I picked up a lovely daisy print luggage bag during a 25% off sale at New Look, which is the perfect size to fit all of by travel bits in. I've left all the important bits like travel documents and money in the capable hands of my soon-to-be husband, as he'll be taking much less stuff with him than me!

What's In My Travel Toiletries Bag

Well this bag was considerably easier to pack than my makeup bag! I managed to find a pretty big toiletries bag for just £4 from Primark, which fits all of these products in with quite a bit of room to spare, just in case I've missed anything out!

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

This time next week I'll be on a plane, on the way to Cyprus for my honeymoon! I'm so excited and, after all of the stress that our family has been through recently, a break away is just what we need right now. So, in the build up to our holiday, I thought I'd share with you what I will be taking away with me. First up is what will be coming with me in my travel makeup bag and, I have to admit, I found it really challenging to narrow down my collection, even only for a few days!

The Lip Product Addict Tag

I've not actually been tagged to do this but, since I saw Amelia & Estee's video, I've been wanting to give this a go. If you could see my makeup collection, you'd know that this was the perfect tag for me! Since I'm still a little nervous about entering the world of YouTube, I thought I'd do the tag on my blog instead.

Top 5 Under £5 - Makeup

Everyone loves a good bargain don't they? Whilst making your latest high end purchase can be very exciting (especially for those of us that don't get to do it very often!), I also love browsing the high street in search of cheaper products that can do just as good a job. That way I know that, if I love it, I'll definitely be able to afford to repurchase it! These five little gems cost less than a mere fiver each and I've found them to be just as good, if not better, than products of a higher price point.

Lazy Day Eye Products

Don't get me wrong, I love experimenting with eyeshadow and have a ton of Urban Decay palettes (a post for another day, maybe?!) to prove it. But sometimes those days come along where I really don't have the time, or quite simple can't be bothered, to do a full on eye makeup look. This is where these little gems some in handy - the "one sweep and go" kinda products, which I find myself reaching for more and more during the summer months, when I'm wanting a more simple look for my everyday makeup.

Blogging With a Full Time Job

image from weheartit.com
Finding the time to sit down and put together a blog post when you've got work and a social life to juggle too can be a little tricky. When I first started blogging 5 months ago, I would sit down when I got home from work in the evenings and write out my post to go live that evening. Doing this every other night wasn't working for me. I would often be very tired when I come home and would not feel like sitting at my laptop when I've already been staring at a computer screen all day. After about a month or so, I finally settled into a routine that I was happy with, to ensure I was still getting out the content I wanted but still had a positive attitude towards blogging and ensuring it didn't become like a chore to me. I am by no means a blogging expert and I'm certainly not professing that this is the way all bloggers must do it, but I thought I'd share with you the tips I've picked up along the way, if some of you are finding it hard to keep up your blog whilst working full time.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Some of you may remember a couple of months ago that I reviewed the Loreal Micellar Solution and, whilst I liked the idea of micellar waters, there were a couple of bug bears I had with the Loreal version which was stopping me from loving it. After reading so many good reviews of Garnier's offering, I decided this one would be the next on my to try list.

Holiday Fashion Haul

I can't believe in two and a half weeks I'll be in sunny Cyprus - it still doesn't feel like I'm going on holiday! I thought this haul was going to be a lot bigger than it was but, looking through my wardrobe recently, I realised I already had a lot of stuff I could take away with me on holiday. As last summer I was in the process of losing weight in preparation for this years' holiday, I picked up a lot of things in the sales last year in a size 10 with this year in mind. So, when it came to holiday shopping this year, it was only really bikinis and flip flops I was in need of. But, of course, I did pick up a few extra items along the way.

Neon Nails for £2

I'm always keen to try low budget beauty brands. Why pay so much money if you can get something just as good for a low budget price? So many people have been pretty impressed with Primark's lipsticks, considering they are only a pound. I went to pick one up for myself recently to see just how good they were for the price, and came across their £2 nail polish sets. The neon set instantly caught my eye, having previously seen it on the internet. At just 50p per polish, I had to give them a go.

Topshop Makeup Purchases

I used to have a bit of an obsession with Topshop makeup - I couldn't go in there without buying at least one lipstick. But this little haul must be my first Topshop makeup purchases in almost a year! I don't know what happened there, I guess I must've bought everything I liked the look of already! I thought it was about time I gave the stand another look and see if anything else caught my eye again. I've gone for some very season appropriate products this time I think.

Birchbox - May 2014

Oh. My. God. This month's Birchbox is without a doubt the best beauty box I have ever received. I've recently got back from shopping this afternoon to find my box waiting for me, and I had to share it with you asap, so apologies if the lighting in the pictures is not the best, but it's pretty miserable outside today! This month's box is a collaboration with Harper's Bazaar. First off, the packaging is so, so pretty and when I opened up the box, I was so impressed with it's contents - Birchbox have done good this month, very good!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks

I wasn't really that fussed about these lipsticks when they were first released. They were receiving a lot of hype in the blogging world but I was resisting really well, which was a little odd for me since I'm lip product obsessed. I guess I was still swooning over the Revlon Matte Balms and felt like I didn't need another matte lip product in my life just yet. But when one of my friends told me that I had to try the new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks, I sat up and took notice. When someone who's nowhere near as beauty obsessed as I am is raving a product so much, you know it's damn well worth trying.

Everyday Makeup - Spring Edition

I've been meaning to do this post for a while, as it's been quite some time now since I switched my makeup bag from winter to spring, but better late than never I guess. I like to keep things much more simple for spring. Out come the lighter bases and the paler lip colours, before we hit the summer brights. These are the products I tend to reach for on a regular basis when I want a more simple everyday look.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Stereo Rose

I thought I'd missed my chance to get Stereo Rose. I was really gutted I wasn't able to pick it up the last time it was released and I'd been umming and ahhing over whether to pick it up when the Fantasy of Flowers collection was first released. But, having just imposed a spending cut on myself, I couldn't really justify buying it, even though I felt like I "needed" it. When I finally gave into the pressure, it was sold out on the MAC website, and I wasn't going to be able to get to anywhere with a MAC counter any time soon, my chance was gone. But then my friend told me she had just ordered it from the Selfridges website - why did I not even think to look there?! I hit search and there it was, in stock.

April Beauty Favourites

My hair and skin have not been very happy with me during April. If you read my life in April post, you'll know that I had my hair & makeup trials for my wedding, plus my hen party, so that's a lot of trying out new products and just generally being a little unkind to my hair and skin. So, the rest of the month, I've just tried to keep things simple and give a little TLC to try and restore some normality to my locks and my complexion.

Life in April

Wedding plans have been in full swing during April. It's hard to believe that, after being engaged for almost three years, this time next month I'll be a married woman! We settled on a date pretty early on into our engagement and it seemed like the time was never going to come but, now that it's almost here, it's been a mad dash to get everything sorted and make sure everyone has been paid. There's still a few bits to do but the four day Easter weekend really helped us out this month.
