#AMonthOfMAC - Ruby Woo

Ruby Woo is another MAC lipstick that a put off purchasing for a really long time, this time because of the horror stories I've read and heard about how drying the lipstick was. I'd always thought it was a beautiful colour though, so I eventually bit the bullet and decided to buy it. As it turns out, I don't think it's as bad as people make it out.

Ruby Woo is a gorgeous blue toned red that I think suits every skintone (it seems to suit everyone I've seen wear it anyway!). I think it's going to be my go to lipstick this year once we reach that Christmas party season, though it would look great all year round.

Like I said, this isn't anywhere near as drying as the stories made it out to be (I was expecting my lips to be peeling by the end of the night!), I actually think All Fired Up is a more drying formula. I'm not saying it's not at all drying though - it is a Retro Matte after all! - so it's definitely wise to moisturise your lips before applying this. This is definitely the most tricky lipstick I have when it comes to application. It tends to drag across the lips a bit (again moisturising will help with this) and definitely takes a while to get the perfect, even application. It's worth it though, because this baby isn't budging at all once you've applied it!

As part of #AMonthOfMAC I'm going to be thanking my lovely followers by holding a giveaway for one of you to win a MAC lipstick of your choice. All you have to do is fill in the Rafflecopter widget below, but first here's all of the details:

  • The giveaway is open to UK residents only (so sorry to any overseas readers).
  • You must be a follower of Kizzy Hearts on Bloglovin for your entry to count. There will be no additional entries as I wanted this giveaway to be purely as a thank you to the followers of my blog.
  • The giveaway will close at 12.00AM (BST) on Thursday 1st October. A winner will be chosen at random and contacted later that day.
  • The winner will have 48 hours to respond, at which point if no response is received, I will choose another winner.
  • The prize is one MAC lipstick of the winners choice, from their permanent £15.50 lipstick range. I will try my best to get hold of the winners choice of shade, but please be prepared to provide an alternative if your first choice is out of stock.
  • The prize will be sent out by second class recorded delivery as soon as possible. Please do bare in mind that I have a full time job and won't be able to get to a post office straight away. I will contact the winner to confirm when the prize has been sent.
  • If you are under 18 years of age, please get your parent or guardians permission to enter this giveaway, as I will need to ask you for your name and address.

Good luck everyone! Which shade would you like to win?
