This Month's Primark Purchases

I know it doesn't exactly look like it from this haul, but I've been a little uninspired by Primark recently. Bare in mind this is a whole month's worth of shopping, and normally I would purchase more than this in just one trip - and have to leave a few things I like behind through fear of overspending. That said, I did manage to pick a few bits I liked on a couple of trips this month, plus a few essentials.

Makeup Revolution Romantic Smoked Palette

So here comes the first of my reviews from my pretty hefty Makeup Revolution haul. I've been trying the Romantic Smoked palette a few times since I bought it and have to say I am pretty impressed with this palette, considering it's only £4.

Tanya Burr Lipglosses

I wasn't going to buy any Tanya Burr lipglosses. I'm not a great lipgloss lover and to me they seemed quite expensive for what they were. They had been so hyped up, with promises of a non sticky formula and great pigmentation, so I thought these may be a rare lipgloss love for me. I went to Superdrug to get my eyebrows threaded, but turned up too early, which proved to be a dangerous thing, as I found myself wandering to the tills with three Tanya Burr lipglosses in hand (3 for 2 so not so bad!).

Next Home Wishlist

For some of our wedding gifts, we were very kindly given quite a lot of Next vouchers. Unfortunately, as we rent our house, we are not allowed to do a great deal in terms of redecorating, but I do like buying little bits & pieces to make the place look more homely. I've recently been having a little browse on their website & Polyvore, and found a few pieces I'd like to spend our vouchers on.

Makeup Revolution Haul

Well this has been a long time coming! I've been wanting to place a Makeup Revolution order ever since the brand was launched, but whenever I went on the Superdrug website half of the things I wanted were out of stock, and I thought it was best to wait and get everything in one go. For any that don't know, Makeup Revolution is a budget makeup brand, very similar to MUA, and they have hundreds of products to choose from. The prices really are impressive - I bought this little lot of a mere £22.50! Over the next few weeks I'll be testing these products out to see if they really are good value for money, so look out for a few reviews coming your way.

The Summer Tag

Image from weheartit.com edited by me
I've seen a few of these tag posts floating around on my bloglovin feed since Georgina originally created it. I thought, since it's the longest day of the year and the sun is shining, now would be a great time to do the tag for myself.

Top 5 Under £5 - Skincare

I decided after doing my under £5 makeup post that I was going to make this into a bit of a series, and next up is skincare. This was a bit of a tricky post to put together, as I like to invest more in my skincare, so the majority of products I use on a regular basis have a higher price tag, but I've managed to find five products I have tried and loved, and a couple of them are still regulars in my evening skincare routine.

Birchbox - June 2014

After quite possibly the best box ever last month, it was always going to be hard for June's box to live up to, but I wasn't expecting to be quite this disappointed. After seeing a few good reviews of this World Cup themed box whilst I was on my holiday, I was looking forward to getting back to mine - unfortunately it didn't turn up until almost a week after my return (another disappointment as I knew so many people had already received theirs days before), but I thought it was going to be worth the wait. Unfortunately everyone's got to get the dud box at some point, and I guess this month was my turn!

Summer seems to finally be here, hurrah! The weather since I got back to the UK has been beautiful, so I thought it was time to dig out my favourite summer polishes and put them to good use. Here are my top five bright polishes from my collection.

What I Wore On Holiday

Just a quick post for you today, as I'm not feeling too great! I've recently come back from my honeymoon, so I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite evening outfits from the holiday. You'll notice I'm a bit of a New Look fan, as the majority of my clothes in these pictures are from there!

Duty Free Haul

I'm back! We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in sunny Cyprus, but I'm definitely feeling the effects of enjoying all inclusive eating right now! Thanks to our very generous friends and family, we had quite a few extra euros to spend, and I decided that my share was going towards some extra duty free goodies, so my haul is a little bigger than I expected!

Avon Mega Effects Mascara

I've been quite intrigued by this strange contraption ever since it was released last year. I'd never seen a mascara quite like it - but was it the latest great innovation in mascara application or just a gimmick? I wanted to wait until this was on offer before giving it a go. I'd seen very mixed reviews, and I wasn't sure if I was going to love it or hate it, so I didn't want to pay full whack to find out!

My Current Evening Skincare Routine

I've been meaning to do an evening skincare routine post for such a long time, since it was several months ago that my morning skincare post was published, but I've not been happy with all of the products I've been using until recently. This might look like a heck of a lot of products for just one face, but believe me I don't use every single one of these products every night. These are the products that are currently in my evening skincare rotation, and I'll use each of them at least once a week.

Planning A Wedding - A Few Tips

Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things you can do, and it can be hard to know where to begin. Now, I'm not expert wedding planner, and things haven't exactly ran smoothly at times for me and my husband when we were planning our wedding, but we muddled our way through, and had a fantastic day. There were, however a few tips we did pick up along the way, some which were given to us from the start and some we learned along the way, which I'd like to share with you. Hopefully they will help if you are currently planning your own wedding.

Your Tea Tiny Tea Teatox Review

In a bid to look a little trimmer for my wedding and honeymoon, I decided a couple of months ago to go on a bit of a healthy eating and exercise kick. I was a little up and down with it, but a month or so ago I stumbled across a picture of the Your Tea Tiny Tea Teatox on Instagram. I decided to search a little more, and found pictures of peoples great results. I decided it was worth giving a go - I was looking a little bloated and wanted to try and do something about it before I stepped out in a bikini.

May Beauty Favourites

We've seen a hint of summer in the UK during May. A couple of weeks ago we had a gorgeous weekend of weather, which really got me in the mood for using more summery products.

Life In May

So this week has been a pretty exciting week! As you read this, I will be a married woman! I married my partner of four years yesterday - I'm writing this in advance so I'm hoping it was a lovely day (I'm sure it will be!). At the start of the month I thought I was going to be writing about the happiest time of my life through May and, whilst getting married will be amazing, this month in it's entirety hasn't been a particularly great one for my family.
