My Favourite Essie Polishes

I love walking up to the Essie stand in my local Boots and having a browse at the amazing colour range they boast. I always find it so difficult to decide which ones to buy though - I want a pink, but which pink, there's about ten to choose from! As a result of my indecisiveness, I've ended up buying way more than I could possibly need, but here I've narrowed down six of my favourites.

l-r: Mint Candy Apple, Lapiz of Luxury, Watermelon, Bordeaux, For the Twill of It, Chinchilly
Mint Candy Apple I know so many people would choose this as one of their favourites, so you've probably seen it a million times before, but I couldn't not include it! Mint green is one of my favourite colours, and this is just the most perfect pastel shade for spring time.

Lapiz of Luxury This one is coming out a lot brighter in the pictures than it actually is. It's quite a light blue, which reminds me quite a lot of the ocean. Again, this is really nice for spring, but into summer too.

Watermelon Possibly my all time favourite. It's a lovely bright raspberry pink that's not too in your face and can still look quite sophisticated (I realise it looks a little neon in the above picture, but it's not like that on the nails). I love to wear this one in the summer, or if I'm feeling a little more adventurous throughout the year, and looks great with a tan.

Bordeaux This one is my favourite autumn/winter shade. The deep wine red looks very classy and a little bit vampy. It's the sort of shade that would suit people of all ages.

For the Twill of It This shade is really interesting, as it looks different depending on the lighting - it has grey, green, blue and purple running through it and creates the most amazing duochrome effect, with a hint of shimmer in there too. I love wearing this one for nights out.

Chinchilly This is my go to shade if I really can't think what colour I want to wear. It's very neutral so it's going to be suitable for everyday wear. It's a sleek grey-brown shade, which definitely dries a lot more grey than it looks in the bottle, which makes it a great shade for the autumn especially.

What's your favourite Essie polish?
