My Most Reached For Makeup Brushes

Brushes are an essential part of anyone's makeup kit. You can have the most beautiful products out there but without the right tools to apply them, they could still end up looking a mess! My makeup brush collection has grown quite significantly over the last few months, but rather than bombard you with the whole lot, I thought I'd share with you the brushes I use most regularly.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush This is brilliant at applying liquid foundations, which I tend to wear most of the time. it distributes product evenly across the skin and, because the bristles are so dense, the product doesn't soak into the brush too much, which I have found with other brushes I've tried.

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush An eyeshadow brush that I think I may have actually used for eyeshadow only once! I find this one to be really good at blending in my under eye concealer instead. The bristles are really soft, so it's gentle on my under eye area, and can get into the creases really well.

MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush This is the ideal brush for picking up eyeshadow and packing it onto the lids. This picks up so much product and holds onto it creating very little fallout. I use this all the time of applying my base shade.

Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer This is a really good dupe for the MAC 217 brush, which I was using for blending shadows into my crease, until I got the Zoeva set for Christmas. It essentially does exactly the same job but I find the bristles of the Zoeva brush to be a little softer and keep their shape better.

MAC 219 Pencil Brush This is really good for one you want a little more precision in your eyeshadow application. I use this for when I want a more defined crease or applying eyeshadow under the eye. It has a slightly pointed tip, making it so easy to get those sharper lines.

Real Techniques Blush Brush This brush is the ideal shape for just dabbing blush onto the apples of your cheeks and blending out. Again, the bristles are quite dense, so it packs on a lot of product. I also like using this brush for sweeping powder over my face, as it's quite big so can get the job done quickly.

Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek This is possibly my favourite brush ever. I use it for any cheek product. The angled shape makes it so easy to just sweep across the cheekbones, which makes it great for highlighting and contouring. It's also perfect if you want a more subtle flush to your cheeks, as it gives just a light dusting of colour to the cheeks.

Have you tried any of these brushes? What are your favourite makeup brushes?
