If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that one of the product launches from last year that I really enjoyed was the Benefit Gimme Brow. Although I very much love the product, at £17.50 it's very much at the top end of my budget for a product like this. When I spotted Rimmel had launched a range of brow gels for just £3.99, I was really hoping to have a great dupe on my hands to save a few pennies.
The first noticeable difference between the two products, and quite an important one, was the size of the brush, Rimmel's brush is much larger than the Benefit one, making it more difficult to navigate around such a small area as your eyebrows. I had to be so careful not to end up with product all over the place! I also found that when it came to shaping and setting my brows, this product didn't do a very good job either - they certainly wouldn't stay in place all day long.
The formula was quite "bitty" and wasn't very even in it's application at all, as you can see from the picture above, it didn't leave a very natural look to the brows at all, and looked quite flaky as soon as it had dried.
Overall this was a major disappointment from my favourite drugstore brand, and I'm sad to say we definitely do not have a dupe here, so back to paying Benefit's prices for me!
Have you tried Brow This Way? What were your thoughts?
I'm gutted to see it is not a dupe! As soon as I saw your post, I thought this may be a cheaper version, as I'm the same, although Gimme Brow is amazing it's pretty pricey. Great post and thanks for the heads up! x

I know, I was pretty disappointed considering the saving I could've made but never mind! xx
